– ½ cup sugar
Cream Layer
– 1 cup heavy cream (whipped)
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Strawberry Layer
– 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
– 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake
Begin by baking or using a ready-made sponge cake. Allow it to cool completely before slicing into layers if necessary.
2. Make the Custard
In a bowl, mix the custard powder with a little cold milk. In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk and sugar. Once hot, add the custard mixture and cook until thickened. Allow the custard to cool completely.
3. Prepare Strawberries
Slice the fresh strawberries and mix them with sugar. Let them sit for 10–15 minutes to release their juices.
4. Whip Cream
In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
5. Assemble the Cake
Start by placing a layer of cake at the bottom. Spread the custard evenly over it, followed by the strawberries and a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers as desired. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours before serving.
